Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation Engineer to join our team for an exciting pharmaceutical project based in Lyon, France. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in automation engineering with specific expertise in Siemens TIA Portal systems. Proficiency in French is a must for this role. This position demands a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, attention to detail, and the capability to thrive in a high-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal for pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Configure and maintain PLCs and HMI systems to ensure accurate and efficient production workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop specifications, and deliver tailored automation solutions.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and adherence to industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to operational staff on the use and maintenance of Siemens TIA Portal systems.
  • Document all aspects of the automation process, including design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations and industry standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with Siemens TIA Portal systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering, with a focus on pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of GMP regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in French, both written and spoken, is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
