Job Description

We are seeking a Clean Utilities Engineer to support daily operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role focuses on the reliable performance and continuous improvement of clean utility systems — on routine operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain clean utility systems including WFI, PW, Clean Steam, and compressed gases

  • Perform routine inspections and respond to alarms and deviations

  • Support root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for utility-related issues

  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Manufacturing to schedule planned maintenance without disrupting production

  • Review and update SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance procedures related to utilities

  • Track system performance data to identify trends and propose improvements

  • Support change control processes and ensure compliance with GMP standards

  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for utility system servicing and upgrades

  • Participate in audits and ensure documentation readiness at all times

  • Contribute to energy optimisation and sustainability initiatives across clean utility systems

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Experience in Clean Utilities within pharmaceutical or biotech operations

  • Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory compliance standards

  • Familiarity with systems such as WFI, PW, clean steam, and HVAC-supporting utilities

  • Good documentation and communication skills
