Job Description
We are seeking a Clean Utilities Engineer to support daily operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role focuses on the reliable performance and continuous improvement of clean utility systems — on routine operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain clean utility systems including WFI, PW, Clean Steam, and compressed gases
Perform routine inspections and respond to alarms and deviations
Support root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for utility-related issues
Collaborate with Maintenance and Manufacturing to schedule planned maintenance without disrupting production
Review and update SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance procedures related to utilities
Track system performance data to identify trends and propose improvements
Support change control processes and ensure compliance with GMP standards
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for utility system servicing and upgrades
Participate in audits and ensure documentation readiness at all times
Contribute to energy optimisation and sustainability initiatives across clean utility systems
Required Qualifications and Skills
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience in Clean Utilities within pharmaceutical or biotech operations
Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory compliance standards
Familiarity with systems such as WFI, PW, clean steam, and HVAC-supporting utilities
Good documentation and communication skills
