Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage on-site construction activities for data center projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure work is executed per design specifications and industry best practices.
- Implement and enforce safety, health, and environmental policies to maintain a safe construction site.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Review and approve project plans, construction drawings, and technical documentation.
- Monitor site progress, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Manage procurement, logistics, and material delivery schedules to avoid project delays.
- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks and mitigation plans.
- Ensure adherence to local building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct post-construction evaluations and support project handover to operations teams.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in data center projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems in data centers.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and construction teams.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, quality control, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- PMP, LEED, or safety-related certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are a plus.
