Job Description

The Construction Manager will oversee all on-site activities for data center construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This role involves coordinating with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive efficient execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage on-site construction activities for data center projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure work is executed per design specifications and industry best practices.
  • Implement and enforce safety, health, and environmental policies to maintain a safe construction site.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review and approve project plans, construction drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor site progress, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Manage procurement, logistics, and material delivery schedules to avoid project delays.
  • Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure adherence to local building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct post-construction evaluations and support project handover to operations teams.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in data center projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems in data centers.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and construction teams.
  • Familiarity with construction scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, quality control, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP, LEED, or safety-related certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are a plus.
