Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commissioning Manager MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) to join our team. As the Commissioning Manager MEP, you will play a critical role in overseeing the commissioning process for MEP systems in various projects, ensuring they meet design specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commissioning process for MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other related systems, ensuring compliance with design and operational criteria.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and execute commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.
- Oversee the testing, adjusting, and balancing of MEP systems to verify proper installation and functionality according to project specifications.
- Prepare detailed commissioning reports, documenting the performance of systems, identified issues, and corrective actions taken. Ensure all commissioning activities are thoroughly documented.
- Implement quality assurance practices throughout the commissioning process, ensuring that all systems are installed and operate according to industry standards and client expectations.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during the commissioning process, working with relevant teams to resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
- Provide training and support to facility operations staff, ensuring they are fully equipped to manage and maintain MEP systems post-commissioning. Oversee the handover of systems to the client.
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Continuously evaluate and improve commissioning processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in future projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning MEP systems, with a strong background in managing complex projects.
- Extensive knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead commissioning teams, manage schedules, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively during the commissioning process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
