Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Construction Engineer with experience in any industry, preferably pharmaceutical industry to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing construction projects, ensuring adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee construction projects within the pharmaceutical sector, including new facility construction, renovation projects, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, specifications, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout the construction process.
- Monitor construction progress, quality, and performance to identify and address potential issues or delays.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and inspectors to obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.
- Conduct site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Oversee contractor selection, negotiation, and contract management processes.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, contractors, and construction personnel.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including construction plans, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of construction activities with overall project goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, with a focus on pharmaceutical facility construction.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in Singapore.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving project objectives within budget and schedule constraints.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety in all construction activities.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
