Job Description
The DeltaV Engineer leads the design and integration of Process Control System (PCS) software for the HBV Project. Working with Emerson, you drive the technical development of DeltaV solutions from initial specs to site execution. You act as the technical authority during Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q), ensuring the software meets strict GMP standards. Your role is critical in bridging the gap between vendor-delivered software and final production readiness, including support for PPQ batches.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Software Development by collaborating with Emerson to design and build the DeltaV PCS.
- Master Technical Specs by developing Functional (FS) and Design Specifications (DS) that align with GSK requirements.
- Perform Design Reviews of PCS documentation to ensure compliance with user requirements and approved standards.
- Witness FAT to verify that software meets design intent before it arrives at the site.
- Drive C&Q Activities including Cold/Hot Loop checks and PCS network interface troubleshooting.
- Execute Qualification of batch software through functional testing, IQ, and OQ protocols.
- Support Production Batches by providing technical oversight during Engineering and PPQ runs.
- Manage Change Control by tracking project deliverables and ensuring adherence to the project schedule.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, or Automation).
- Proven experience with Emerson DeltaV configuration and batch software.
- Strong background in commissioning and qualification within a pharma/biotech environment.
- Deep understanding of GMP, S88/S95 standards, and validation lifecycles.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network interfaces and software logic in real-time.
- Skilled in change management, progress reporting, and tracking deliverables.
- Ability to bridge the gap between internal project teams and external vendors.
