Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Digitalisation and Automation Project Manager to join our team for a cutting-edge project based in Brussels. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing digital transformation and automation projects within the industrial or manufacturing sectors. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of digitalisation and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage digitalisation and automation projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Engineering, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to ensure successful project execution and integration.
- Identify and assess opportunities for process improvements through digitalisation and automation, and propose innovative solutions.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of digital and automated systems and processes.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project risks.
- Monitor and report on project progress, performance metrics, and key milestones, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and support to project teams, including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and user manuals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digitalisation and automation, and apply this knowledge to drive project success.
- Manage stakeholder communication and expectations, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing digitalisation and automation projects within the industrial or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of digital transformation and automation technologies, including IoT, AI, robotics, and data analytics.
- Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
