Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Engineer with extensive experience in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments within the pharmaceutical industry to join our team for an exciting project based in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS engineering and will be responsible for ensuring that all environmental, health, and safety protocols are strictly adhered to, maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as GMP standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential EHS hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee the investigation of EHS incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
  • Provide EHS training and support to employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all EHS activities, including incident reports, risk assessments, and training records.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in EHS management, and propose innovative solutions to enhance EHS performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with EHS standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS engineering within GMP environments in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of GMP regulations and their application to EHS programs.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs and policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in EHS management software and tools.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
