We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Lead Piping Engineer to become an integral part of our Zuid-Holland-based team. This role is ideal for a proactive and skilled individual who is passionate about piping design, particularly in the offshore sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of piping design projects, from the initial concept through to completion, ensuring all work adheres to industry standards and regulations. Utilizing Autodesk Plant3D, the Lead Piping Engineer will create intricate piping layouts and construction drawings vital for the success of our projects. Additionally, this role involves mentoring junior engineers, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and enhance overall team performance. Our company supports a hybrid work model, offering flexibility and balance between working onsite and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead on piping design projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently from concept to completion, in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Utilize Autodesk Plant3D to produce detailed piping layouts and construction drawings, ensuring high-quality project deliverables.
- Act as a mentor to junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support to foster skill development and improve team performance.
- Work collaboratively with project stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines, to ensure project requirements are met and schedules are maintained.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of piping design processes and methodologies within the team.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in piping design, specifically within offshore projects, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficient in the use of Autodesk Plant3D or similar 3D piping design software, with a strong portfolio of design work.
- Comprehensive knowledge of piping codes, standards, and best practices applicable to the offshore industry.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding a team towards achieving project goals.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and on-budget completion.
- A team-oriented individual who can effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team environment.
