Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Vietnam. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead mechanical engineering efforts for state-of-the-art data center projects, ensuring the highest standards of design, installation, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design and engineering efforts for data center projects, ensuring designs meet client requirements and industry standards.
Oversee the installation, commissioning, and operational readiness of mechanical systems, including HVAC, cooling systems, and plumbing.
Coordinate with project teams, including electrical, structural, and MEP engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications.
Manage and supervise contractors and vendors to ensure mechanical work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the construction and commissioning phases.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and international standards for mechanical systems.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including system specifications, testing reports, and as-built drawings.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
Ensure all mechanical systems are operationally efficient, energy-efficient, and sustainable.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in data center projects.
Proven experience leading mechanical design and installation for large-scale infrastructure or data center projects.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, cooling systems, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
Familiarity with local regulations and building codes in Vietnam.
Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver results under pressure.
Professional certifications (e.g., LEED, PE) are preferred.
