Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Installation Engineer to join our team and support FMCG projects in the Netherlands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, assembly, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. This role requires hands-on experience, technical expertise, and an understanding of FMCG industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute the installation of mechanical systems and equipment for FMCG production facilities
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and comply with safety and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and contractors to align installation activities with project timelines
- Conduct equipment assembly, alignment, and testing to ensure optimal functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that arise during installation
- Maintain accurate documentation, including installation records, equipment manuals, and as-built drawings
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the installation process
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members and contractors
- Participate in site inspections and quality control assessments
- Identify opportunities to optimize installation processes and improve efficiency
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical installation for FMCG or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment installation, and maintenance practices
- Familiarity with FMCG industry standards and safety regulations
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting mechanical systems
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities
