Job Description
We are seeking an experienced MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MES implementations and support, with at least 7 years of relevant experience. The MES Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining MES solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement MES solutions to support manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, IT, and engineering, to gather requirements and ensure successful MES integration.
- Configure and customize MES software to meet the specific needs of the manufacturing process.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MES-related issues.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including functional specifications, system configurations, and user manuals.
- Train and support end-users in the effective use of MES applications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system capabilities and operational efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest MES technologies and industry trends.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in MES implementation and support within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of MES software (e.g., Wonderware, Siemens, Rockwell Automation, or similar).
- Proficiency in programming languages and databases (e.g., SQL, Java, .NET).
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and other industrial automation technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in MES or related fields is a plus.
