Job Description

Seeking an MES Engineer to implement and manage Manufacturing Execution Systems in the pharmaceutical industry. You will be instrumental in integrating IT and manufacturing systems to ensure real-time data collection and analysis, production efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Your work will support decision-making processes, improve production processes, and ensure that technology solutions meet the dynamic needs of pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage MES solutions that meet the specific needs of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, IT, and quality assurance teams to integrate MES with existing ERP, LIMS, and other critical systems.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including functional specifications, design specifications, user manuals, and SOPs.
  • Ensure MES systems are compliant with regulatory requirements, including GMP, FDA, and EMA guidelines.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective use of MES systems and adherence to SOPs.
  • Monitor and analyze MES data to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Manage MES projects from conception through to completion, including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MES-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and continued production efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in MES and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with a strong emphasis on manufacturing systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in MES implementation and management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or a related regulated industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong technical skills in MES software, database management, and system integration.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and apply them in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
