Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Excellence Lead to drive continuous improvement initiatives across pharmaceutical manufacturing projects in Croatia. This role focuses on optimizing production processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will leverage Lean Six Sigma methodologies and a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry to enhance operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement operational excellence strategies across pharmaceutical production sites
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Conduct root cause analysis to address process inefficiencies and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, EU, and global regulatory standards across all operations
  • Lead process optimization projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget
  • Facilitate workshops, Kaizen events, and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Analyze production data and trends to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost-saving initiatives
  • Provide regular reports on project status, performance improvements, and strategic recommendations to senior management
  • Mentor and support operational teams to build capabilities in problem-solving, process design, and project management

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or Lean Six Sigma in the pharmaceutical or regulated industry
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, EU regulatory standards, and industry best practices
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data and drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Experience with project management and continuous improvement tools
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
