Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimize daily operations within our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role requires a strong background in GMP compliance, process efficiency, and team leadership to ensure high-quality production, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing Operations Management – Oversee end-to-end production processes to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
- Process Optimization – Identify and implement efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance – Ensure all operations adhere to FDA, EMA, GMP, ISO, and company quality standards. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Team Leadership & Training – Manage, mentor, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
- Supply Chain & Inventory Control – Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure material availability and minimize production downtime.
- Equipment & Facility Management – Ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment and coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting – Track key operational KPIs (e.g., production yield, efficiency, compliance deviations) and report on performance.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving – Proactively identify operational risks and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with R&D, Engineering, and Quality teams to support new product introductions and scale-up activities.
- Regulatory Audits & Inspections – Assist in regulatory inspections, customer audits, and internal compliance reviews.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years in operations management within pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of GMP, FDA, EMA, ISO 13485, and other pharmaceutical regulations.
- Leadership, problem-solving, operational efficiency, and process improvement.
- Experience with manufacturing systems, ERP software, and lean methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
