Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Packaging Engineer to join a FMCG company in Belgium. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing packaging solutions to meet product requirements and enhance operational efficiency in our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop packaging solutions for FMCG products, considering factors such as product protection, shelf life, transportation, and consumer appeal.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and marketing to understand product specifications and requirements.
- Conduct packaging material selection, testing, and validation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality requirements.
- Implement packaging improvements to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
- Lead packaging projects from concept to implementation, including design, testing, validation, and scale-up.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging engineering, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software for packaging design and simulation.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to packaging in the FMCG industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
