Job Description
The Construction Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the on-site construction processes for assigned projects. This role involves supervising project progress, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and delivering the project within the established timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of on-site construction activities.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality and safety practices.
- Identify potential risks and issues, developing solutions to mitigate them effectively.
- Manage and document project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Report on project status, including cost, schedule, and progress, to stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between various project stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor on-site construction team members, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or lead roles, preferably in [specify industry, e.g., infrastructure, data centers].
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
- PMP, OSHA, or relevant certifications.
- Experience with [industry-specific standards, e.g., LEED for sustainable projects].
