Job Description
We are looking for a Project Planning Manager to oversee project scheduling and resource management, ensuring the successful execution of projects within scope, budget, and timeline. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, mitigate risks, and drive project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones using project management tools.
- Oversee resource allocation and ensure efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment across projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to align project goals and deliverables.
- Conduct regular progress meetings and provide updates to stakeholders on project status.
- Analyze project performance metrics and propose continuous improvement strategies for future projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare detailed project reports and presentations for senior management and clients.
- Manage and resolve conflicts or challenges impacting project schedules or deliverables.
- Support tendering activities by developing and reviewing project schedules and resource plans.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and management, preferably in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies, critical path analysis, and resource management.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certification in PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 is highly preferred.
- Experience with risk management and contract management is an advantage.
