Job Description

We are currently seeking a talented Project Scheduler Engineer with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating activities, and ensuring project timelines are met in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to ensure accurate representation of project activities, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather project requirements, develop project schedules, and establish baseline plans.
  • Analyze project scope, resource requirements, and constraints to develop realistic and achievable project schedules that meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Identify critical path activities, schedule risks, and potential delays, and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule impacts and ensure project success.
  • Monitor and track project progress, performance, and milestones against established schedules, and communicate schedule variances and deviations to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct schedule reviews, analyses, and simulations to optimize project schedules, resource allocations, and sequencing of activities for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinate with project teams to integrate schedule updates, changes, and revisions into project plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and priorities.
  • Provide regular progress reports, schedule analyses, and forecasting updates to project teams, management, and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and risk management.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve scheduling conflicts, dependencies, and resource constraints, and negotiate schedule adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project schedules, changes, updates, and approvals, and ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling and planning, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices, with a focus on schedule development, analysis, and control.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, quality, and attention to detail in schedule development and maintenance.
  • Proactive approach to identifying schedule issues, proposing solutions, and driving continuous improvement in project scheduling processes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
