Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Engineer to join our team in Northern Spain. As a Procurement Engineer, you will play a critical role in sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials and services for our pharmaceutical projects.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and Vendor Management:
- Identify potential suppliers and vendors for materials, equipment, and services required for pharmaceutical projects.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, prices, and delivery times to determine the most cost-effective and reliable options.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the company.
Procurement Process Management:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and processes to streamline the procurement lifecycle.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor and track procurement activities, including purchase orders, deliveries, and payments, to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with project requirements.
Quality and Compliance Assurance:
- Ensure that all procured materials and services meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and relevant industry regulations.
- Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to assess performance and compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Address any quality issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly and effectively to minimize project delays and risks.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cost optimization and risk management.
- Familiarity with procurement software and systems is a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
