Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team for a pivotal pharmaceutical project in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in engineering, with specific expertise in utility systems within pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industries. This role requires a minimum of 1-5 years of relevant experience, strong project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of critical utility systems essential to pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with global teams to design and optimize utility systems such as purified water and HVAC.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA and cGMP standards through validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop specifications, and deliver tailored utility solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, providing updates on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including design specifications, validation protocols, and compliance reports.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve technical issues and ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the project team.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in engineering roles, with a focus on utility systems within pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Proven project management skills, including experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong technical expertise in utility systems design, construction, operation, and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards applicable to utility systems (e.g., FDA, cGMP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
