Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead the design and installation supervision of solar facilities. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of solar facility projects, from initial design through to final installation and commissioning. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the entire project lifecycle of solar facility installations, from initial planning and design to final commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to develop detailed project designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Supervise the installation of solar panels, inverters, and related infrastructure, ensuring all work meets design specifications and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify and resolve any issues, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project outcomes.
- Prepare and present project progress reports, status updates, and documentation to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure all project activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as environmental and safety standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on solar facility design and installation.
- Proven track record of managing solar projects from design through installation and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of solar technology, including photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, and other solar components.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices in solar energy.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, PVSyst).
