Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Singapore, specializing in data center projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and supervision of mechanical systems, particularly ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) systems, ensuring that all installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including ACMV, in data center projects.
- Ensure all mechanical installations comply with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and local building codes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor and control project schedules and costs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure accurate installation and commissioning.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance and support to installation teams, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Identify and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies during the installation process, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors as needed.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, inspection reports, and quality control records.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in project engineering, with a focus on data centers or similar critical facilities.
- Proven experience in supervising the installation of ACMV systems and other mechanical systems in data centers or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, ACMV, and related infrastructure.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions on-site.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with relevant local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
