Job Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer with experience in the pharmaceutical industry to lead and coordinate engineering projects from concept to completion. You’ll be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources, coordinating the efforts of team members, and liaising with third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Your role will ensure that all projects meet both internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of project tasks and deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience (3-5 years) as a Project Engineer in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in pharmaceutical processes and equipment.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other regulatory standards applicable to the pharmaceutical industry.
