Job Description
The Quality Engineer ensures that all products, processes, and systems meet rigorous internal standards and external regulatory requirements. In this role, you drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis, manage the lifecycle of non-conformances, and act as the technical lead for quality assurance during the manufacturing or construction phase. You are the primary advocate for the “Zero Defect” culture, ensuring that every deliverable is compliant, safe, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Quality Audits: Conduct internal and vendor audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, GxP, or industry-specific standards.
- Manage Deviations (CAPA): Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for non-conformances and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions to prevent recurrence.
- Process Validation: Oversee the validation lifecycle (IQ/OQ/PQ) and perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor system stability.
- Review Technical Documentation: Approve Work Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and final quality data packages.
- Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate vendor performance and technical submittals to ensure raw materials and components meet specifications.
- Risk Mitigation: Facilitate Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and design out potential quality bottlenecks.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
- CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is highly preferred.
- 5+ years in a Quality Engineering role within high-stakes industries (Data Centers, Pharma, or Aerospace).
- Proficiency in statistical software (Minitab/JMP) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) like Veeva or TrackWise.
- Deep understanding of ISO standards and local regulatory frameworks.
