Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Utilities Engineer with expertise in both GMP and non-GMP utilities systems within the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in Installation Qualification (IQ) of equipment and systems, ensuring they meet all regulatory standards and operational requirements. Your role will involve overseeing the maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of utility systems to support pharmaceutical manufacturing and ensure uninterrupted, efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) programs using industry-standard RCM software to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Conduct mechanical integrity assessments of manufacturing equipment and infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance plans based on reliability data and analysis.
  • Analyze failure modes, effects, and criticality to develop strategies for mitigating equipment failures and improving reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality assurance, and safety, to integrate reliability principles into all aspects of manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and report on key reliability metrics, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures and develop robust solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance and operational staff on reliability best practices and RCM software utilization.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in reliability engineering within the pharmaceutical or a closely related regulated industry.
  • Proficiency in RCM software tools and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical integrity principles and practices, particularly as they relate to the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards, including GMP.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
