Job Description
The Senior Project Manager leads the execution of high-value capital projects from initial concept through final delivery. In this role, you take full ownership of project health, ensuring all activities meet strict safety, quality, and financial targets. You serve as the primary link between executive leadership and site teams, navigating complex technical challenges and shifting priorities. Your leadership ensures that every project phase stays aligned with the organization’s strategic goals and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Project Execution by directing the full lifecycle of complex industrial or construction projects.
- Manage Project Finances by overseeing multi-million dollar budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective delivery.
- Drive Schedule Adherence through the use of advanced planning tools to hit critical milestones on time.
- Act as the Primary Stakeholder Liaison by facilitating clear communication between clients, vendors, and internal departments.
- Master Risk Mitigation by identifying potential bottlenecks early and implementing robust recovery plans.
- Enforce Quality and Safety by ensuring all work complies with GxP, ISO standards, and local EHS regulations.
- Direct Cross-Functional Teams including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction to maintain total project alignment.
- Oversee Contract Management by negotiating terms with external contractors and verifying the delivery of services.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of project management experience within highly regulated or large-scale industrial sectors.
- Possess a history of successfully leading diverse teams and high-value technical subcontracts.
- Demonstrate expert-level command of project tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Procore.
- Simplify complex project data into actionable insights for executive leadership.
- Apply structured analytical thinking to resolve technical roadblocks and resource conflicts.
- Hold a PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management credential.
