Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and execution of mechanical systems and projects. This role involves managing engineering activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in handling complex mechanical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of mechanical systems, components, and equipment for assigned projects.
  • Oversee the preparation of engineering calculations, technical specifications, and design documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements during all phases of design and execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, civil, and process engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Review and approve drawings, technical submittals, and vendor specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Identify and resolve engineering challenges, providing technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and performance tests to ensure system functionality and quality.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering technologies and industry trends.
  • Support project proposals by providing technical input and cost estimations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, engineering, and project management, preferably in industries such as construction, manufacturing, or energy.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and material science.
  • Experience in project management, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, ISO, API).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
