Job Description

The Senior Program Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale data center construction projects. This role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end program management for data center construction projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Establish and monitor project performance metrics, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships, negotiating contracts and resolving conflicts when necessary.
  • Provide strategic oversight for multiple projects, ensuring consistency in execution and alignment with company goals.
  • Implement and optimize best practices for data center construction methodologies, leveraging industry trends and innovations.
  • Drive stakeholder communication, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to local regulations, sustainability goals, and corporate standards.
  • Lead program reviews and post-mortem assessments to improve future project delivery.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in program/project management for large-scale data center construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and networking systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Expertise in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Primavera P6).
  • Strong understanding of safety, regulatory, and environmental compliance for data centers.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred.
